Hey guys! My name is Alex Rearick and I'm currently living in Amasia in northern Shirak marz. I'm one of the three Project Managers for Border to Border, and I'm stoked to be a part of the team. I'm originally from Alaska and have spent a fair amount of time outdoors. I'm looking forward to using my passion for the outdoors to help spread environmental education all around Armenia, and seeing this beautiful country by foot!

I am from Mississippi. I have a bachelors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Mgmt and a masters degree in Counseling and Personnel Services from The University of Southern Mississippi! After finishing my studies, I worked at USM and developed a great love for nature, fitness and health! I’m now a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English in sunny Kapan (come visit)! Last but not least, I’m beyond excited to be a part of the Border to Border mission and team. This year will be especially exciting as we will introduce new curriculum focusing on the environment! We are all working together to keep our planet and your Armenia beautiful!

I’m Gianna Alessi and I am one of the Project Managers for b2b. I grew up in California and I am currently living in Talin with an amazing host family and working at a high school, all of which I love! I grew up going to the beach and hiking around the coast, which really gave me a love for the environment. I have also really enjoyed getting to see nature and learning about the environment in Armenia. I am really excited for the upcoming b2b year and making it the best year yet!

My name is Gyulnara. I am a member of PR team in B2B. I was born and raised in Armenia. Currently I am a senior EC student in American University of Armenia. I traveled a lot both inside and outside of Armenia and developed huge love for our planet. B2B is an excellent opportunity to raise, discuss the issues of our planet and try to come up with solutions. Also, I love children a lot and believe that everyone has the right to be given the opportunity to move and develop equally with the world regardless of the place where they live. This project is a great chance to give that opportunity to the kids from border villages (communities). I look forward to the start of the walk!

Johnathan Stefanick, TEFL Volunteer at Hovhannes Tumanyan High School in Stepanavan, Lori Marz. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Finance and fundraising chair for Border to Border. In my opinion, the two things which make Armenia unique are its natural beauty and the hospitable people that live here. Border to Border is an opportunity to experience both of these qualities to the fullest. As much as I look forward to exploring Armenia's scenic countryside, I am even more excited to meet so many new people along the way.

Your attention is cruelly grasped by Anahit, one of the curriculum developers. All you need to know about how I'm in love with B2B is that I walked in 2016 and I would walk in 2017 as well, if I were in Armenia at that time. Why? Because I believe that we walk from border to border, meaning that each route of the project starts at the border of Armenia. However, the project takes the kids far beyond the borders they have seen through their lives, especially the ones they always come across in their communities. The rest that I have to say about the project will be the super curriculum delivered to the kids! May the odds be ever in the favor of B2B!

Matthew Zittritsch Position: Community and Youth Development Volunteer Organization: Community Pulse NGO Community: Vardenik, Gegharkunik Marz * I really enjoy Armenia because it reminds me so much about my home in America. Iowa and Armenia are very similar to one another, from the way that most families are large and close-knit, to the rural/farming communities. * I work in Vardenik, the largest rural village in Armenia, which has approx. 12,000 people living in it. My primary assignment is teaching dance at our community dance and performing arts school. I teach hip hop and tap dance three days a week, and on my other days I like to tutor kids in English. * In my free time, I love to go hiking with fellow PCV's. Because of my love for hiking and nature, this is why I chose to be a part of the B2B team.

I am a Southern Route Coordinator and I am extremely excited to be a part of Border to Border Committee. I am in love with Armenia's mountains and nature and I love exploring my incredible country. Born and raised in a small town called Alaverdi, in Lori region, I was surrounded by the beauty of mountains but, at the same time, by the smoke of the factory. That's why I've developed concern for the environment from an early age. As I can do nothing to stop such things from harming the environment and the healthy lives of people, the only thing I can do is contributing to the education of communities on this important issue. I've joined the Border to Border Committee with a mission to promote awareness on environmental and healthy living issues, and I am looking forward to working in this team.
